Our midfield had an incredible season and dragged us into the finals. Had a bad day today though. Still, so much upside to this side i can't wait for 2020.
Tough day for diehard supporters like us.

Has anyone heard Bevo’s presser? What did he say about Naughton’s knee?

All he'd say was it "doesn't seem" to be an ACL but wouldn't commit to anything definitive until they'd done the scans.

If it means he’ll be right for round 1, it certainly lifts the gloom quite a bit.

Yeah, best case scenario is that Naughton needs two months off and will be okay to start preseason.

What a bad result. Apart from the first minute, a ten minute burst in the second and Richards' goal in the 3rd we were nowhere. I really felt failed completely to match their aggression. They started on Jack Macrae before the first bounce and we just let them get away with it - not good enough. Tim English was very good around the ground but seriously misjudged his leap at centre bounces and their midfield was gifted many clearances.
They were far too good. They ran harder, used the ball better and handled it cleaner. Good thing is a lot of young blokes got to play in a final.
Finally, there are times when kicking a goal is just SO important. Every time that moment arose we failed the test. There's a lesson there.

That was probably the most disappointing part of the loss was the way we rolled over. They bullied us and we just copped it. No one fought back, no one stuck up for their mates. Yes, we are young but that does not excuse us for not showing a bit. Guys like JJ, Wood, Suckling who have been around for awhile did not fly the flag they put up the white one. Makes you think how lucky we were having Clay, Dale Morris, Boydy, Biggsy and co who more than flew the flag when they had to. We stood tall then, no one wanted to play us.

    Finals record under Bevo:

    With Libba 4-0
    Without Libba 0-2

Saw on Twitter that Naughton doesn’t think it’s too bad, but will know more after the scan.

Fingers crossed we can take some positive out of this debacle of a day.

Frustrating that we got bullied like that but nobody gave us a chance to make the finals and we're well positioned to build upon our base.

Not having a negative, is a positive? It's truly been a shitty day.
