On the surface it’s better. But what we don’t want is an instigator for change. We want them to continue along their mediocre, non the wiser path

I think that’s nothing to worry about they have Dodoro, 19 years of it and more to come.

I'm more hoping they believe they're just a few tweaks away from the top 4

Only so many good players around each draft and most are already taken through F/s and NGA.
The list is a big problem but their biggest is they need a few of the arrogant people up top to go and that won’t happen so it’s all going to plan

What we need to see is them win trade period again so they can be comfortable going into next year.

    Re: Essendon

I don't like all this exodus talk. Sudden, significant changes sometimes lead to a massive transformation of culture which is exactly what we don't want to see at Essendon.

Here's hoping Rutten can calm things down, Dodoro trades in a few GWS egomaniacs and the whole thing continues to downward spiral over the next few years.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Cooked? I still think he has something to offer but I may be being optimistic. Rather Bruest if we went a 30 yr old.

I think he is but like i said yesterday with AMT it is difficult to tell with Essendon players. The team is so undisciplined and have no structure at all

Karma has hit him. We chased him hard a few years ago and he turned us down as the under bidder . Shame really , he would be playing finals now 2 years Ina dow , and fitting nicely In a side with players which we can rotate fwd and back with : cordy, naughton and Keith ( some glimpses today ) . Geez that would scare teams

I don't think anything sums up their season better than the fact they are having their best and fairest tonight, before the home and away season has even finished.

    Re: Essendon

In fairness, Essendon did go further into September than other recent years, so I think they're definitely on the improve.

You couldn’t possibly brag about winning the Essendon B&F could you ? I mean seriously not like you have much competition, Stringer will probably end up top 3 and the winner will be the one who played all games.
End up being a player they probably drop off their list they are that bad.
