Trengrove replacement
Hooker always looks slow to me. Even slower than when he was chasing Buddy down that wing years ago when Buddy kicked that miraculous goal.

Re: Essendon
The only Essendon players I rate are Jordan Ridley, Sam Draper & Tippa (when he doesn't look like he's swallowed a sheep).
I'd give up the world for Draper and play him in combination with English.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Been sensational for them. His reading of the play is elite.

Sadly Jake wasn't in the top 10.

This might sound strange but would have more interest in McKernan to be honest, good overhead and could pinch hit in the ruck to give English a rest up forward. Other types a higher priority however.

Yeah, that's not the worst suggestion. Would certainly prefer him over Hooker.

Ditto above - if we are looking for one year of ruck depth we could do worse.

Even more odd because word is he's a great guy - so it wouldn't be a character issue.
He's a more versatile Trengove and we could do worse for a year or two.

Re: Essendon
I'm a no anyway because he's rubbish, but can't be bringing in stop gap depth guys like McKernan with the reduced list sizes.

Concerning news out of the Bombers with their head of medical services departing - concerning in that Joe Daniher might be more likely to stay with a new medical team!!

The only problem is he is just a decent forward who can take a turn in the ruck. With Naughton and Bruce we don't have room for another tall forward. We may as well find another emerging ruckman just in case English gets injured
We need a player like Blicavs, that would suit Bevo nicely

Could you imagine if the saints landed Draper when the threw a truck load of cash and multi year deal at him at end of 2019.
