He’s an amazing representative of the EOC.

Long may he present as a poisonous cancer inside that club. Which in itself is just an infected dermoid cyst of an organisation.

Scott will be sacked after 2 years. Lock it in.

Dead cat bounce next year for a 10th placed finish. Then a bottom 4 finish the year after.
Their list is diabolically bad and Dodoro keeps delivering.

He may love James - fine, and James may have some good coaching qualities but he’s also got significant personal and professional baggage and has hardly coached in 7 years - hird was always a long shot for the job.

You might disagree in the room, but you leave the room United

Sheeds has shown he’s incapable of being a team player at the board level - needs to resign or be sacked

He had a chance to unite the club for all of the supporters but his own ego simply wouldn't allow it.
Essendon would be well placed to remove from the club in any official capacity.

He will be getting into the ear of any prominent supporter groups and start the destabilizing process.

Are we calling him Shreds from now on? It's apt.

If they sack Sheeds the coteries won’t stop until the whole board is gone

It’s like a household being run by a 2 year old

    Re: Essendon

Brad Scott will get the Essendon factions working together. He is a good relationship builder within footy clubs and he will put time into it...he will get them all on side.

I was concerned about two people getting the Essendon job:

Lyon because he's just a good coach and would get the 'footy' side of things on track.
    B. Scott - because he understands building relationships and will put real time into it...he will help unify the club.

Is he an amazing footy coach? I'm not sure that's the story any of his past players/staff would paint. BUT he is very good at unifying the on-field with the off-field...Essendon have talent (they do) and IF (as we all seem to think) the 'BIG ISSUE' is the influence of the various coteries and factions within the club, he will work diligently to fix those problems...

Is Yze potentially the better coach? Well, maybe. But do you want a first time coach jumping into that environment????

This is a really good appointment.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I give him less than 730 days.

Sheedy clearly represents the silent majority. An AFL /Norf Melbourne / Brisbane guy?

He's already sacked in my mind.

Essendon fans I've chatted with are really happy, simply because the coteries are stronger at Essendon than any other club and B Scott is arguably the only person available to coach who can handle that. They are probably the only club where the coteries are stronger than the board.

    We can only hope

Sheedy is a suffocating, egotistical, self absorbed dinosaur.
