    Stringer is a polarizing presence at Essington. He's either held in awe as a match winning freak or dismissed as being fat, lazy and totally unprofessional.
    The reality is he had one great season in 2015 and since then has kicked the can down the road on the back of his ability to occasionally do something outrageous.
    He is 26. Still time to prove the doubters wrong but I don't see it happening. He's played in a premiership once. Maybe that's enough for him.

    I know that he's gone at the end of the season and he's never likely to work in the industry again but I find his post match presses hilarious. Reporter "Essington were tragic again today Woosher, things must be getting pretty desperate around the club?" Woosher (with a huge smile on his face) "oh well, not from my POV. I couldn't really give a *!*!*!*!. Why should I care, I'm handing the whole shit show over to Truck Rutten in a couple of weeks so I just find it easier to not get too stressed"
    You nailed it TD. I wonder what "learnings" the power brokers at Essington will take away from the Woosher interregnum?

    It’s official. Mendozaaaa on Bomber Blitz has named Sept 12 as St. Essington’s Day, 2020. Who would’ve thought at the beginning of the year that they would go so deep into September?

    Essendon could start the game 15m earlier and still lose. Cooked.
    Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

    Essendon is why we shouldn't stress about our percentage. Melbourne will probably get a boost next week

    I don’t know why people are getting so worked up about our %. The best we could have done was to equal Melbourne, but then we’re assuming we lose and they win next week. So bye bye % difference. It’s simple. We have to win. An 80pt win today and it would be the same

    Re: Essendon

    Essendon will definitely beat Melbourne next week. They can't play finals and their supporters need just that little bit of positivity to take into trade week (which they'll inevitably win because they always do) and sew the seeds of the false hope they've become addicted to for the last twenty years.

    It's just something to worry about. Good news is received more poorly than bad news, remember.

    Well say we got 1 percent above Melbourne and they win by 1 point next week. It kind of matters then. However, let's hope it doesn't !

    Another great stat from Sir Swamp Thing via twitter;

    UPDATE:
    ADEL has won more games in the first 13 days of this September than what ESS has in their past 17 Septembers combined
    @Adelaide_FC #AFLBluesCrows @AFL
    They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

    Imagine how big that Lion is going to get when he is finished playing footy.

    That snarl will turn into a frown, that's for a sure.

    Stringer was in shape - in round 1. Really seemed to enjoy the break, and it shows.
