Bulldogs Team of the 21st Century

Inspired by Richmond running something similar, I thought we could fill in some time over the off season with a Bulldogs team of the 21st Century (the first 20 years).

Qualification is a minimum of 50 games for the Bulldogs in the 2000s. Only games for our club in the 2000s should be considered (eg ignore games prior to 2000 and games for other clubs). Pick the team to play a hypothetical game, not just the best 22. Dickheads allowed.

    My attempt:

Some tough decisions. Decided on Tom Boyd as the backup ruck over Minson/Hudson due to forward ability and let's face it, his Grand Final. Picken makes it for versatility over Dickson/Stringer. Dahlhaus, Eagleton, Hunter, Wood and Tom Libba also unlucky. We are short on key position players hence Bob and Dale playing undersized in their positions. I have probably forgotten someone obvious.

The forum has put this team together so far.

Sorry I forgot about that thread and I did actually have a look to see if there was anything first.

Anyway mine is a bit different so feel free to post your own, or not.

So Richmond have ripped our idea... Typical. The forum squad looks good to me:

    B: R. Murphy (c) B. Lake D. Morris ------ 734* Games, 216 Goals
    HB: R. Smith E. Wood L. Gilbee ------ 623* Games, 389 Goals
    C: N. Eagleton S. West M. Bontempelli ------ 660* Games, 296* Goals
    HF: T. Dickson C. Grant A. Cooney ------ 663 Games, 905 Goals
    F: B. Johnson Vacant D. Giansiracusa ------ 629 Games, 889 Goals
    R: L. Darcy, M. Boyd, L. Picken ------ 701 Games*, 338 Goals*
    Int: W. Minson, R. Hargrave, R. Griffen, Vacant ------ 596 Games, 248 Goals

    Games: 4,612* --- Goals: 3,281*

Add: Jack Macrae (141 Games, 34 Goals) & Tom Boyd (61 Games, 50 Goals) for need.

So Total Games: 4,814* --- Total Goals: 3,365*
