    Re: Collingwood and the Cap

The have a great blend of experience, youth and 100% exuberance.

A change of coach and philosophy has down wonders.

Buckley was very defensive first and McRae is very much take the game on.

I’m sure there are also players who Buckley didn’t necessarily trust; but with a new coach comes a blank slate.
They are very similar to the dogs in 2015.

It's been a massive turnaround and good for them.

Playing a lot of games at the MCG helps them - as does winning the close games they have, and I think they've probably been underestimated by a few sides including last night.

Wins on the board is a great indicator, though percentage usually is as well and for second spot their percentage is pitiful. I do think that once teams get to finals and tighten up the defencive areas of their games Collingwood will struggle to score but again, well done to them for winning the close ones all year.

They've played 8 of the current top 8 and are at 5 and 3.

    Draw is a little easy.

In their current run they've only faced two top 8 sides.

    Melbourne and Freo.

Done Dees twice and did Freo over there.

Overall I'd say easy ish draw but not a cake walk.

Outside looking in Macrae has got them playing for each other. There's a real sense of side by side.

    McRae

I remember Aker singing his praises about 10 years ago.

It's good analysis but I guess where I'm coming from is around do average teams achieve an 11 game winning streak?
The draw is the draw and even if they dropped a couple of the close ones they've still been impressive.

I think a soft draw is just a small part of how their fortunes have changed.

Yes I was trying to say it’s an not a walk over draw but is a factor.

Not the major one. From what I’ve seen a lot of fringe guys like Mcreery are standing up.

Games since last loss (not including last night)
