I don’t think he does yet, but he’d be much more effective compared to Hayes & R.Smith... and I’m sure we’d rotate through that area too.

It might be that Richards was going to play a half on a wing in the North game but got concussed and that nixed it for the Marsh cup

Hes run and verve, is what we need longer term in that role

We did try him there last year (among half the list). He just can't find the ball yet. Needs time. Perhaps some VFL wing time?

How much ball will Hayes or R.Smith find?

On reflection, I reckon there's a wing spot in waiting for Vandermeer, when he's adjudged ready.

Hayes: more than Richards at this stage. They were the only two we really trialled during the Marsh series. Last year's numbers make for interesting reading, even taking into account Richards spent more time forward (for a 0.5 goal per game average vs Hayes' 0.4):

Roarke doesn't fare as well but it sounds like he'd be in the Round 1 side if it goes ahead:

I'm perhaps in the minority but Roarke on a wing has merit for me. Can do work in the air and is capable defensively. He complements Hunter nicely.
