    Maybe it’s just the angle, but it doesn’t seem to offer him much protection to his face. At least it’s an injury you wouldn’t think players (outside GWS) would target.

    If you look up close, there is extra padding on the right of the helmet (our left looking at the photo). Obviously won’t protect front on contact but side on it’ll do some work. It wouldn’t be an easy injury to play with so we’ll see how he responds.

    Actually the AFL veto that helmet as being too large and he had to get a more streamlined version.
