Here is a good tweet from Swampy:

The line up for WBD in the 2016 Grand Final had collectively kicked 53 goals in Finals going into that match
    Buddy Franklin had kicked 64

Just reinforces what a great job Hamling and the rest of the team did that day.

Our team on Saturday night average 22 games each at our homeground? 111 games less on average than our opponents who we share it with?

    How can that be right?

Since we changed to the Western Bulldogs we've had a pretty decent run of finals appearances. Well, in comparison to the previous 17 or so years I followed Footscray 1980-1996. Would've been 85, 92, 94, 95 ?

    As Western Bulldogs 97,98,99,00,06,08,09,10,15,16,19,20.

    Edit: Added 95.

Probably best we do forget our finals appearance in 1995.

In the 90's I lived and worked in Asia and missed all the finals in 1992, saw the demons game in 94, missed 95, 97, and saw the prelim in 98. Didn't go to Brisbane in 99, or 00. Didn't go to Perth in 06 or 16 or Gabba in 20
