I think we will find out a bit about Bruce today, he’s been vocal publicly on numerous occasions regarding his want to play finals (fair enough) which was also a bit of a back hander to the Saints. It should add some spice to that sub contest. I don’t mind being bold so I’m backing him to stand up and have a big influence today, be interesting to watch!
Dogs by 25 on the back of a dominant midfield showing and four from Bruce.

    Edit as per OP

    First goal Wallis
    BOG Dunkley

The current 22 is a gold mine for easy dunks and you pick one of the good players. Controversial yet brave.

If our midfield continues to run one way that's exactly what's going to happen.

I confess to being seriously worried today, who knows what we will dish up.

Dogs to just fall in (I say with everything crossed)

First goal: Don't care as long as its us.

BOG: Crozier (I suspect the backline will have more opportunities than the forwards).

My intuition is failing me. The brilliant form post bye last season raged like COVID 19 until physical pressure proved an antidote.
Then the COVID culture itself further distanced us from that period of dominance.
Saints will try to outrun us. They have troubled us with their run in the recent past but blind optimism tells me we will outpossess them for a 27 point win.
    First goal Naughton.
    BOG Macrae.

Re: WB Game Day V St. Kilda R2 2020

My concern about today's game is that we will dominate the first half and to about the 10 miniute mark of the 3rd quarter without putting them away and then as fatigue sets in for our players someone like Carlisle or Marshall will be swung forward and start taking grabs that put them back into the game. With 5 minutes to go we are a few points up but haven't had the ball in our forward half for nearly 10 minutes. Things look grim until JJ does one of those great runs that splits their midfield apart and Gowers gets the game sealing goal.

We will laud the spirited win but still have some doubts about if we have what it takes

I feel good about selection...and good about today. We have named a team of runners and a forward line full of forwards.

    Firs time goal - Bruce
    BOG - Macrae
    Dogs by 35.

Saints have gone in with an inexperienced backline, so should be a good battle if we can get the ball into our f50. I think Naughton will play a blinder.

I like the selections and the team looks good. Should be a good game and we will have this iced by 1/2 time.
    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

Good first touch from Vandermeer, good forward running from our mids to follow up.

Great to be hitting targets inside 50. Just need to convert.
