Speaking of Matty Boyd there's a bloke running around for the Pies who plays with more than a sprinkling of Moyd's style; Maynard.

No bullshit. Just gets it done. Rather like the cut of his jib.

Am sure having Boyd as a line coach hasn't hurt.

I reckon you'd only need to go back to 2012-2014 to see a vastly different view of Boyd on this board than the final view we had of him as a player post his retirement.

He was continually lambasted for being wasteful, sometimes selfish and whole bunch of other things when his view of his role was hacking the footy forward. I was so unbelievably against his move back that I've only just finished my share of roast words for dinner in relation to the topic.

It's amazing what two outstanding years of footy with a different mindset and position can do to a player. I agree that he'd be a solid acquisition now, but I wonder whether that would be the case if he finished his career as a tired midfielder without a premiership medallion around his neck.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

I only watched until half time but it felt like Collingwood had too many weapons and were able to overwhelm the stingy Geelong defence. Even though I can't stand Chris Scott, his sides are always competitive and never get belted even when they don't play well which is not something we can say about sides coached by Bevo, who has a more feast or famine approach.

That being said, it feels like Geelong are just hanging on to this season and with Selwood tweaking a hammy, it'll only make things tougher. The cliff is approaching quickly for their older players.

Not sure finishing in the 8 every year and having a team that plays well really only at home , but doesn’t threaten is where I want to be
Pretty sure folks on here would be frustrated

With all due respect you don't know if that is true.

All of that talk was 1000% justified. Boyd and his NQR Nathan Buckley impression were infuriating under McCartney.

I for one stand in solidarity with the worms that were burned by Matty Boyd circa 2011-214.
