Three things you have learned-round 5 v the Northerners 2020
Tell us three things you know now that you didn't know before the game vs the cow interferers tonight.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Easton Wood is reborn without carrying an unreasonable load.
Schache needs to play.
Alex Keath looks like a perennially pissed off high school PE teacher.

All these.
Keath really does look constantly pissed off, and I’m 99% sure half the yelling I hear through the umpire mics is him.

Honestly that's exactly what I'm picturing.

I literally have no idea how someone could as comprehensively nail something that I didn't but definitely knew all at once and bring it to my attention. Well done.
1. With McLean playing defencively and Libba chipping in we may not look as smooth moving in the middle but we are very competitive with Bont down and Dunkley out.
2. If Easton Wood said last year he's been playing taller in recent years and with that effectively being confirmed by the coach throughout the game, perhaps some of the negativity towards him has been unwarranted, on that performance at least.
3. West is a very very stylish footballer. Not in the classic sense, but whilst his hardness is obvious he has very good tricks.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

I really liked how Bruce and Schache worked together and looked to complement each other. Better even perhaps Bruce played with Naughton - perhaps these two are just too similar? Given the time we have put into Naughton as a forward, I can’t see him going back any time soon - nor perhaps do I want him to go back. But I’m not sure we can play all three in the one side without giving up too much ground ball support. Question if and when all three are fully fit - should we adopt a horses for courses / rotation policy and pick which two of the three to play depending on matchups?
also fully agree re Keath!

1. Rhylee West has all the tools to be as dominant as his old man.
2. Schache worked super hard for not a whole lot of reward tonight, still picked up the two goals. He cleared space for our other forwards to lead by drawing his opponent up the ground.
3. Tonight was Vandermeers breakout game, he led everyone on the ground for metres gained and he was always willing to move the ball on or take opponents on.

Can’t improve on those three.

Re: Three things you have learned-round 5 v the Northerners 2020
1. Bont had no influence, and yet we played like it didn't matter. Very good sign.
2. West, Vandermeer, just two of the youngsters that are starting to create that pressure on the more experienced squad members. That can only be a very good thing for ensuring all guys are focused, working hard and putting their best foot forward. There are just too many ready to take their place.
3. Mclean may've just found his mojo playing a role he's not really been accustomed too. That can only be good for the flexibility of our midfield unit.

1. It was worth chasing Keath and Bruce (still think he is over weight)
2. A team effort is better than relying on one or two players
3. The forward line structure looked better tonight

1. I thought if it were no Bont, no Baz it'd be no Bulldogs. But it wasn't.
2. Luke Darcy tries so hard to be fair in his comments that he is unfair
3. Josh Bruce and Alex Keath have been great pick ups at either end.
