Essendon are easily the worst 5-2 team in living memory.

If they keep it up they'll get a chance at losing two finals this year.

Re: AFL Game Day R8 2020

I gotta say, watching the saints last night, they really were impressive. Granted Port didn’t look great. It’s the first time I’ve seen them play and if that’s the top side then we’re a legitimate chance. But I give the saints credit. They are so well balanced around the ground. A good mix of talls, contested players and speed. But what stands out the most to me is their application and effort. In some ways they remind me of us in 2016. They just have 22 committed players each week who refuse to give an inch. Let’s face it, they don’t exactly have the most talented list, but they’ve got guys like Butler, Wilkie, Kent etc who just have a crack. It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep it up. While they don’t have a lot of depth they look well coached and perhaps are a product of a system where players can easily slot in. And really, they should be 7-1 if not for two games they threw away against north and freo. Could it be in this strange year where they pull a flag from nowhere? I think they’re a big chance along with Collingwood and Richmond. I’ll admit I didn’t see this coming from the saints but their bottom list players are the reason they’re going so well. They just seem to always have so much space in their forward line and have a 12 man midfield all over the ground. This can only be put down to effort. It’ll be interesting to see if other teams figure them out

I wish they'd just tell me if Pendlebury is playing or not.

Jeez, when West Coast are on, they are a great team to watch. Clean skills with smart movement.

He’s playing for sure, why else would they say his name so much?

They kicked ridiculously straight, but they're so strong in the air at either end, if they get easy midfield ball, they're very difficult to stop.
Not sure Nic Nat is a good match up for Tim English. Or anyone on our list.

They even managed to bring Joel Selwood into the discussion when discussing Pendlebury......and within a breath Bruce squeals how much Kelly is like Pendlebury.

    It's just so, so strange.

Charlie Cameron is a ripping footballer to watch.

Melbourne committed the cardinal sin of letting fall off a contest goal side near the wing and he just took off. His poise in the finish from thirty out was excellent.

Melbourne are just too sloppy by foot too often. Oliver and Viney must drive their fans nuts.

Why don't we ever have a Charlie Cameron type. An electric forwards on my wish list
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

JUH is this. Not small, but he is electric.

Cody has great energy but his disposal by foot is concerning. It’s only early but nevertheless.

    Very Melbourney loss
Look like winning , and not get it done
In fairness on the first half Brisbane should have been further up
In the end a mature win for Brisbane
Brisbane’s forward line is a concern for me in big games
