That's been an accurate description of most Lions supporters at the GABBA for as long as I've been up here in Brisbane.
It's especially prominent when both Lions are doing well, and Broncos aren't, as you get a lot of league fans showing up to games eager to just back a winning team.

Lions out in straight sets hold me to it.

Pretty happy we played the Hawks in a dead rubber (for them) last week instead of today, when they are farewelling 2 premiership players. They are tearing Gold Coast apart already.

Geez I’d love Gunston at the dogs..pure class, and yes I know it’s GC, but you can always bank on Gunston kicking 2-3 a game.
I will never see #16 the same!!

I've heard we have an interest in Luke Breust. He is contracted so we would need to find some way of trading with the Hawks

Yes please. Maybe they'll look after him if he wants out and not demand too much.

I’d be happy with either tbh. Either one would compliment our fwd line beautifully, and it would be real nice to have guy kicking for goal (other than Wally) who’s better than a 50/50 set shot chance haha.

Imagine Breust on one flank and Sexton on the other.

From what the commentators are saying about the Hawks and GC every player is “great” and I don’t understand how these two teams aren’t playing in the grand final.
Great mark, great kick, great get, great goal.
Can someone tell them to look at the ladder and exactly where these clubs sit ?

Yes to Bruest. Would be a great mentor to the likes of Weightman and Cavarra.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Hm, prediction going well so far.

No thanks. Will be 30 years old and slowing down, plus taking up a spot.

Let's get someone in with more than a temporary patch up job.

    Like who?

If we can get Breust or Gunston in for a reasonable trade then surely having at least 2 years of a good player in their role is better than going for someone else and hoping they can fulfill it (a role we suck at identifying and/or developing players in).
I should leave it alone but you're not right

I think sometimes that’s an ok move. Not always taking up a spot, get your sentiment but someone like Breust who is Lloyd x 2 for 2 seasons I think is a great idea. Could pass on some forward craft to JUH too.
