Unbelievably bad umpiring in the last 10 minutes.

Nic Nat carried them in the last. Very lucky he didn’t play last week.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Nic Nat huge in the last quarter. However Eagles did lose 5 players to injury from last weeks game.

Honestly, this couldn’t be falling better for us. If we blow this chance to play finals it’ll be a massive waste.

Yep no one to blame but ourselves. Going up against two teams whose seasons are done. There is no excuse to not playing finals football this year.

Some Victorian clubs have dodged a massive bullet, and it will also cost GWS some high end talent not just this year but in future years.

When will clubs learn with these massive contracts. Not sure any of them have been worth it. Except our Marcus' pending 15 year deal which is actually too short....

I can think of one that paid off
It may only have paid off during 4 weeks of the 7 years, but it still paid off.

They’re going to lose all three of their first rounders from the 2018 draft. You know, that super draft everyone keeps talking about?

Yep, they have Caldwell, Hately and O'Hallloran all out of contract and likely to leave. Not to mention Zac Williams in his prime with one foot out the door. They will have to pay overs to hold onto Jeremy Cameron at the end of this season and the cycle will continue.

He'd be the one I'd seriously considering to let go or pay unders to.

Agree, but I expect them to acquiesce and hold onto him for a fat contract.

Clearly, they consider Jeremy a messiah, but his influence on important games suggest they would be far better placed if they let someone else pay him a fat salary and have more room to keep reliable players.
