Re: Trade Dunkley
My only concern is whether or not there is a WWE element going down with the final day...
I really, really hope this isn't being scripted like a melo-drama by the AFL... but I would not put it past them to do it..
The thing that worries me is the statement 'It's pick 8 take it or leave it'
Surely going into this Essendon had to know they would need to do something pretty amazing to prise someone of Josh's stature who is contracted out of the place....
He had to know pick 8 on itself is not an attractive offer that the Dogs would even entertain a trade?

I'm confident he will do what is best for the club today.

Best outcome is keep Dunkley, and bring in Treloar for not too much.

The Western Bulldogs have stopped dealing with Essendon.
They now want Dunkley and Treloar in the same team next year.
The Dogs have offered a future second round pick for Treloar.
It’s beginning to get frantic.
EXACTLY what was said about Carlton yesterday before a deal was done

Some have said it's for the chance to play as a full-time midfielder, others have said it's for money. Damian Barrett said otherwise on the Trade Deadline Day show.
There is a culture issue...he experienced something in the hubs that he didn’t like, and maybe even prior to that as well.
And of course Essendon have the best culture !
Bring back the biff

Even though Bruce sucked for the value of the assets at the time that was a seriously impressive move.

I do wonder if they're a little dirty they committed to Crouch so early. Treloar is really good but would seem to fit the Saints especially well.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised. All this 'take it or leave it' Dogs have walked away narrative, and then magically at the death, Dodo offers us 2 top 10 picks and the deal is done.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Re: Trade Dunkley
I reckon it's more likely we keep Dunkley and Collingwood keep Treloar / trade JS.

Huh? When culture issues at hubs first was mentioned he backed us up saying we were one of the better behaved clubs.

Perhaps this is all for show, and in a few moments it'll come crashing down, but I am invested in the outcome here more than usual. Been anticipating the news one way or another all day.
Gut says it doesn't happen from here.
