Absolutely love seeing McLean get 9 votes. If he can keep up that sort of effort it'll be huge for us going forward.

We have so many players like him who are on the cusp but not quite there. If a few of them can come on then we'll be in great sharp. Dale and Toby are probably the two we need to take the next step.

Hopefully that sort of recognition from Bevo means a permanent defensive mid role for McLean.

They don't necessarily align with that order Axe put them in. Bevo could have gone 5 Bont 4 McLean, 3 Daniel, 2 Libba and 1 Macrae or any combination really.

Not entirely true. The split for the top 4 has to be the way I broke it down, although I obviously can't tell which coach did which votes. The 2 and 1 votes are interchangeable. Eg. Bevo can't have given Bont 5, McLean 4 and Daniel 3 because Simpson can't have given Dunkley 4 & 3.
