    Grand Final at the Gabba Saturday night October 24.

    The match will be held at the GABBA on Saturday October 24. It will be a scheduled night game with the start time to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

    Under the arrangement and pending health authority approval, the 2020 Toyota AFL Grand Final will be played before a crowd of approximately 30,000

    Never thought we'd see the day. Guess it's only fair they pretty much saved the season
    Lions with their biggest chance ever? (Since wonder years) Although they lost two there last season and teams are more acclimatised.

    Backup is Adelaide if Covid hits Brisbane.

    There is also this on where finals will be played:

    AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan wouldn't divulge the AFL's full plans around venues for finals before the Grand Final – qualifying and elimination finals in week one, semi-finals in week two and preliminary finals in week three – but answers to several questions at his media conference indicated the following:

    - Perth's Optus Stadium would likely only be used in week one and not thereafter, due to strict WA border protocols;
    - The Adelaide Oval could be used for the first three weeks of finals;
    - Victorian based clubs, should they qualify highest for a final against Brisbane, could be given the right to play that match at Adelaide Oval.

    Happy for QLD to get the GF under the circumstances and also don't mind a night final due to weather conditions in Brisbane. However, the AFL better think twice if they want to make night GFs permanent.

    I can live with a twilight game as it is still family friendly especially for kids, plus after the game people can still go to a restaurant and celebrate.

    There will never be a 2:30pm Grand Final again. Now that the conservative regime has been broken, never again will footy's biggest game revert to an afternoon timeslot......ratings prime time!

    My tradition of a KFC feast whilst watching the GF at home feels alot better at nighttime than at 2:30... Im 100% fine with it being a night game from here on out.

    So why have night finals ? They want more eyeballs on the game

    They may get better ratings but the spectacle will diminish. Skill level will drop with the greasy ball.

    Day finals > Night finals

    There's just something about the sun blazing, a huge crowd, the atmosphere is off the charts.

    Yep, don't believe the hype. A night grand final is a key to lessening the skills.

    Bring on the violence I say.

    Everyone will get completely hammered and be ruined by four in the afternoon, and the game won't start for another two or so hours.
