I don't think Noble has coached any senior teams, but has been an assistant I guess - Fagan has worked, so no reason Noble can't. Good luck to him.
Thanks, I thought it might be the age consideration for you.
Noble might not have a followed a traditional pathway into AFL coaching but he is highly experienced having coached Glenelg, was an assistant coach with us, a list manager, I think he coached the U18 NSW Rams, and obviously has played an instrumental part in turning Brisbane around.
We will probably know within a couple of seasons if North should have gone with a younger coach

From the outside looking in he seems a better fit for where North.
I'm pretty sure he coached our '97 reserves premiership team.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

He coached at Upwey-Tecoma in the early 90’s which may have been his first senior position. I was under 18’s and didn’t play under him, but even at that point he was an uber professional especially for that level.
Don’t know how he’ll go, but seems an excellent choice.
Also makes him the 2nd AFL coach with a connection to Upwey (the other one has gone ok)

I’m a bit worried with these comments - they sound all too familiar
"We've got some young talent. We're going to the draft this year, we'll probably go to the draft again next year.
"We'll teach, we'll educate, we'll let them fall over and fail and we'll pick them up and keep moving forward."

Just an observation, but Noble is the coach that North need now. He will lose more games than he wins and after 3 years they will get impatient and replace him with someone a little more tactical (Clarkson?) who will use the good work that Noble has done and get them to the finals.

A bit like Bevo did after BMac?
