Didnt have a chat with tom, there was an old(er)lady on the table as well and yeah she was talking his ear off all night.
Um Peter gordon is the new #1 ticket holder,
Crossy fell across everitts knee.
All the news guys seem really confident which is really good in a way, just hope they dont get to far ahead of themselves.
Cant say i took to much noticve of anything else, bad i no.
Thanks for that Minson27, some news is better than no news .
Good to hear Peter Gordon is the #1 Ticket holder - I always liked him, it is a good choice.
I went last night and had Lindsay Gilbee on our table. Didn't get to talk a lot to him, but he did say that he will be playing this week. His calf bleed after the Darwin game. The flight home didn't help. Said he enjoys playing in Darwin, but the players hate Canberra.
David Smorgon started the night by thanking everyone for their support over the last few weeks. He started to get a liitle emotional and finished by saying that Ros would not rest in peace until we won a premiership.
He went on to say the it is a new beginning for the club with the players and coaching staff moving in to the new building on Monday. The new facilities will be by far the best in the competition.
Announced Peter Gordon as our new No.1 male ticket holder. (and after reading Too Tough To Die over the last few night, I believe there is no one more deserving). Peter was welcomed back to the club a couple of weeks ago by Campbell Rose. He also thanked Campbell Rose for that invitation as it gave him another chance to defame John Elliot. He went to have a look at the new facilities. Peter said that we are very lucky to have David Smorgon as president and new the amount of work involved in making the club successful.
Chris Grant was then introduced (to rousing appluase) to present the jumpers to the players. He is enjoying retirement and is going to be the assistant coach for the Vic Country under 18 team. Said that as he was a country boy, he'd put something back in. (Would we expect anything less from the man).
I'm sure there's lots more to report, but my memory is shocking. Hopefully some other attendees can add some more.
It was a great night and highly recomended for anyone with kids. There is no better opportunity to get up close to the players. They are very accomodating and you can get as many photos and signatures as you want.
My brother bought Tom Williams jumper in the auction.
PS - Does Mo7 from BF post on here. I introduced myself to her last night.

For those who were always the underdogs and wore it as a badge of honour.
I had Tom Williams on my table too. It was a really good night, I thought Brennan Stack was good when he was talking about the number 7 being unavailable for him.
nice summary aker
Thanks Minson27 and Aker39.
Any news on Williams' progress?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.
Yeah, that was me! It was tricky talking to him though, the other ladies had him for most of the night, they were very nice though and I learnt some things about him. My friends were there at Wayde Skipper's table so I spent a fair bit of the breaks talking to them or they came to visit.
Nah, no accidents, but I did notice that he didn't eat his vegetables
