I'd be really surprised if we've fluffed this one.

Being a Damian Barrett penned article, you can be sure his sources are 100% from the Holden Centre.
Aside from the bad faith negotiating by the filth, this is a dreadful look for the AFEL. Is this competition sophisticated and professional or does it have meat tray raffles at training on Thursday nights?

If only we had a smart lawyer in charge of trades, a smart lawyer as ceo and one of the best lawyers in Australia as president.
If everyone wants legal action. So be it.

Pies will give in they have no choice or they cop all his wage , better to at least turf some of it.
Poor Treloar though, blokes been had about three times now by the pies.
He will sue them if he doesn’t get to us.

Just beautiful.
There goes our leverage now we can hardly say nope, here, have him back.
Lord help us if it ends up going to a specially convened AFEL arbitration panel.

Re: Welcome to the Westernbulldogs Adam Treloar
Apparently they have agreed to pay it but not 300,000 each year but back end it.
The issue isn’t the amount but how it’s paid.

At a guess both parties agreed to an overall dollar amount that Collingwood would contribute to, lets assume it was 1.25M over 5 years, and we believed it would be the average of 250k per season. The Pies however have now offered us 150K in year one, 450K in year 2, 450K in year 3 but then something like 100K in year 4 and the same in year 5 because it suits their needs
It is an exceptionally bad look for Collingwood, and all players and their managers need to take notice, but it's also an awful look for the AFL to sign off on the deal
It will be interesting to see if it can be resolved by the end of the week

It should work in how we want it as we didn’t stuff our cap up and shouldn’t have to bend to accomodate the pies bad planning.

Re: Welcome to the Westernbulldogs Adam Treloar
Maybe that now Collingwood have sorted out the Dayne Beams affair, they wish to reneg (or change the payment details) on the Treloar deal in case the AFL still wish to include Beam's final salary/deal in their salary cap.

Yep. Giddy up pies.
