I'm still upset we didn't go after Stephenson as well, think he would of been great to have in the forward line.

What was the freak accident when he tore both hamstrings. Was he on a trampoline or something?

Dunno, he was running so fast that he was out of control.

I think the only player I can remember injuring himself jumping on a trampoline was Tom Williams at family day in his first pre season. Did his knee I reckon.
Have you been reading those Roddy Doyle books again, Dougal!?

Tom Williams would injure himself doing up his shoelaces.

He certainly would have. Still falling off a trampoline is a fair effort.

Batting so deep now, I’m thinking of uses for everyone outside the middle. Bailey Smith spending minutes as a forward pocket. Quick enough to play as a defensive forward, quick on the lead, nimble at ground level, loves to tackle, got the ‘don’t argue’ and has genuine X factor.

    Spoilt for options.

I like it, we've long lacked pace in the forward line, we need the foreard pressure back that Stringer, Dickson, Picken, Smith created
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Last time we won it was followed up with a flag.
