It’s been a long and stressful year for them all though. So you’d imagine a lot of the senior players will prioritise family while they can. Who knows what next year brings?
They're professional sportsman so despite a challenging year we shouldn't accept anything less that 100% in terms of getting themselves ready for a big 2021 season. We have been too accommodating on players not performing so I really hope we are uncompromising on expectations this pre-season.

Was good to see that Alex Keath showed up day 1 of pre-season, bloke is clearly doing everything he can to get the most out of himself since coming to the club.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

A photo was floating around that showed he had lost a lot of weight only month after the season finished , so he is doing something.

Correct. He played the next week against Carlton after the knock against North (and picked up a Brownlow vote).

I don't disagree but I want them motivated in April not December...I don't understand why the PA fights for concessions for the players in terms of return to train and then the players come back anyway?
I would be encouraging them to take a break - look after themselves but take a break. The treadmill of the season will be there soon enough.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Everyone should have a break and recharge but it's so important that they all know they have to be prepared for a big year
If we gift games to under performing and potentially unfit players based on who they are not how they are performing we will sink quickly

Brucey looks like he’s working out with Jack Steele back in Canberra for now. Not a bad bloke to hit the track with I’d imagine.

We seem to plan our training so that we are at our best late in the season rather than flying out of the box.
