    A few stats:
    Age : 23
    Height: 190cm
    Weight: 88Kg
    Games: 78

Recruited from the Gippsland Power, Josh Dunkley is a strong and courageous tall midfielder who continues to establish himself as a prime-move in the Bulldogs' on-ball brigade. Dunkley is a contested weapon, with bucket loads of courage and excellent leadership potential. He's a clutch player who relishes big moments in games. In an outstanding debut season in 2016, Dunkley played 17 games, received a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in Round 20 and was the youngest member of the Western Bulldogs' 2016 AFL Premiership side. One of the competition’s rising stars, Dunkley enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2019, transitioning into a full-time midfield role, playing every game and averaging more than 28 disposals and six tackles per match. He polled 15 Brownlow votes – including three best on ground performances – and was runner-up in the Charles Sutton Medal, named in the All Australian squad of 40 and was vice-captain of the AFLPA 22Under22 team. Dunkley also signed a three-year contract extension mid-way through the season, alongside Caleb Daniel, committing until the end of 2022

I'm glad we hung onto Josh. I would have hated seeing him hit his prime with the Bummers.

AFL quality. Had a great 2019 season. Still very good in 2020. Disappointing about the trade stuff but hopefully he applies himself for us well in 2021.

Has to be more consistent game by game. Good size for a mid, but a bit slow. Can take a good overhead mark as well. Will be interesting to see how he goes in 2021

Based of his Instagram he and Adam Treloar have been inseparable this off season.

Can we make it an 8- part poll?

    AFL quality ruckman
    AFL quality mid
    ...
    You know it makes sense!

If you take it one step further the captain has not been sited.

Dunkley has done the club a favour. He shone a spotlight on what has been a poorly hidden aspect of the team.

There seems to be a problem. Bruce’s attitude to fitness, xxxx’s attitude to yyyy (read about it on WOOF ) is keeping them out of the team. Poor on field performance continually brushed aside by weak excuses.

After a premiership the club has spent 2 weeks in the top 4 in 4 years.

In 2008 and 2009 it spent 2 weeks outside the top four in two years. Almost 40 consecutive weeks as a force to be reckoned with, that’s what lifts everyone’s spirits. Can anyone honestly see it in our immediate future, or are we just going to drift? It certainly needs some repairs that have nothing to do Dunkley’s attitude or skill set.

I would like to thank Dunkley.
