Re: Rating our list 2020 Mitch Wallis 3
A few stats:
Age : 28
Height: 186cm
Weight: 85Kg
Games: 151
Predominantly playing as an inside midfielder early on in his career, Wallis has also excelled when given a number of run-with assignments. The father-son recruit was already a true professional the day he walked into the kennel, and when he faced some challenges in his young career, Wallis worked extremely hard to overcome them. So much so, Wallis has become one of the team's most important members, after successfully adjusting to a defensive midfield role, where he has claimed some of the games' biggest scalps.

Re: Rating our list 2020 Mitch Wallis 3
Given Mitch's limitations, mainly leg speed, he has done very well in his 150 games. He is a very tough competitor and gives his all for the RWB. Many have said he was not best 22, but he proved again in 2020, that he is.
I think he should be vice captain as he has leadership qualities.

Re: Rating our list 2020 Mitch Wallis 3
Thanks H60, Wallis reinvented himself in 2020 and as a result we got an effective forward who kicked 25 goals from his 18 games
I think this is now the position for him for the balance of his career and if he can keep the scoreboard ticking over he can maintain his spot in our best 22

Liked him one out at times, good year forward and has proven he can adapt.
Hoping another solid year from Wally.

Re: Rating our list 2020 Mitch Wallis 3
Mitch is the category of more character than talent.
Can snag a goal, negate someone, mark and kick but not run quickly. Would Greg Williams do any good nowadays?
At the moment Mitch is our best bet as small forward but going forward, we will surely have better alternatives.

A bloke that does as much for us off the field as he does on it! An all around champion of a bloke with a good work ethic.
More importantly I think he finally found a role he could call his own - at least since the injury in 2016 when he dominated the inside mid role but he lost it now.
Decent overhead, good kick for goal, great competitor when the ball comes to ground 1 on 1. He has everything but speed to be a dynamic forward. I’m hoping he can kick 35+ goals this year!

Given how congested football can be, slow natural footballers still have a place in the game.

Not doubting the integrity and leadership of Wallis, but in how many of the other 2020 top 8 sides' forward lines would he definitely get a gig in?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

Wally is a very careful kick for goal. I love his intensity. He cares.

No brainer that one. Congrats to Mitch !
Edit : We've done away with leadership groups too. Personally I never saw the sense in them so ok with that.
