I'm worried about JJ. As far as senior players go, can we carry his quiet periods? Daniel and Bailey Williams will provide the running rebound and Crozier can kick long. I have Duryea ahead of JJ simply on defensive ability.
Is Daniel being very good really a positive? He's our reigning B&F, we should expect that.

Okay now finally time for the main event.

Good start from Schache. Immediate positive of literally anyone else being out there in the #26.

Didn't realise the second game was on. Not going to get any work done.

    Re: Practice Game snippets

What stood out to me, to contrast the two sides today was the Hawks ability to control the footy under not only conditional pressure (wind) but opposition. They were impressive with their composure and have some nice ball users.

Positives from what I witnessed :
    - Martin looked like he will certainly be a good pickup. His bodywork at stoppages was fantastic and brought the ball into dangerous areas for the mids.
    - McNeil looked a natural footballer was very impressed, although he is slight he has good strength, evasion and composure.
    - English looks better again as does Caleb.
    - Bruce looked fit and was timing his jumps well.
    - Whitten Oval.

Hunter was our reigning B&F the year before, after his pre-season last year I'm leaving nothing to chance.
I actually think Daniel may have improved.

I thought his defensive efforts were better today.
I am hopeful but want to see how he works with Naughton and English this year.
