Re: Practice Game snippets
Really poor from JJ in that marking contest.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Re: Practice Game snippets
Was that 50 because the player ran away from the mark moments after the free was paid?
Edit: The earlier one, not the Caleb one which was ridiculous.

Umps could probably ease off on the 50m penalties in the training run.

Wowsers, if they're the fifties they're paying this year it's going to be frustrating.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

Re: Practice Game snippets
Martin resting forward hmm. Not sure that's something I want to see too often with his goal kicking. I guess no Naughton....but it does beg the question as I think others have asked; how will the rotations of English and Martin work?

Re: Practice Game snippets
As usual, there's not a whole lot to take out of these games so far. Still seem to be getting caught flat footed and out of position on transition with ease. Defenders still struggling to defend. Ball use breaking down when entering F50.
- English/Martin combo looks much, much better. Thank god we finally have backup.
- McNeil looks like a very good find. Putting himself in the frame for R1.
- West looks dangerous, fit and strong.

JJ has been so bad lol. His best 22 position is under threat, IMO.

Bruce is so much more effective when he jumps at the ball with an intention to actually mark it, rather than hang out the back.

Certainly got his leap back under control. Guess losing a few bags of potatoes helps with this.
