Fortunately 25,000 should be more than enough v North at 4:40pm on a Sunday.
Won't be many North fans there.

The roof will be open and there is wet weather forecasted. That is going to make it interesting. I'm also in Row D ... so going to get wet at Marvel. That will be a first.

We would like to remind fans that the roof at Marvel Stadium will be open for the two matches this weekend. The decision to open the roof ensured the stadium could have the maximum allowable capacity for the two matches in Round 15 per Victorian Government requirements – 25,000."

Re: Ticketing for 2021
The AFL had lobbied the state government for a 50 per cent capacity at the MCG and Marvel Stadium, but crowds will be capped at 25,000 fans this weekend before a planned boost to 85 per cent capacity next week.
“From 11:59pm tomorrow night, outdoor stadiums can have 50 per cent of the venue capacity up to 25,000 people,” acting Premier James Merlino said.
“This means that the A-League grand final can proceed with 15,000 people and the MCG can host 25,000 people.

“From the following week, commencing 11:59pm on 1 July and subject to public health advice, indoor and outdoor stadiums will be able to increase to 85 per cent capacity — so that includes the MCG, Marvel Stadium and AAMI Park.”
Does that mean the roof will be closed for Round 16?

As already stated above the government backtracked on the 85% scheduled for this week with what is going on around the country. The roof will be open as per the club communication and Marvel website that you quoted. The article you are quoting above is a week old and no longer accurate.

I hope they agree with some common sense. We have a roof, we have rain, close the bloody thing.

I hope so too but we can only assume the information published today (roof open) is accurate.

Ah, Ok. I had assumed AP was quoting something relating to this week, didn't pickup the round 15.
Anyway the club has said the roof will be open, it was open last week under the same rules so it is very likely it is open again this week. Dress accordingly!
