Captains run about to happen (Foxtel live). Great to see WA Bulldog fans out there. Lots of love for The Bont, but Bazelnka very popular

Re: Training 2021 Season
Caleb, Baz, Libba, Hannan on extra light duties during the Captain's Run.
The whole squad is training, unlike Melbourne who it sounds like only brought the playing squad along (22 + emergencies).
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

I know I'm reading too much into it, but it shows the respect they have for the other players in their group. "you couldn't even get a game at Casey Mitch".

Gee Gardner and VDM would be flat.
Love seeing the entire list having a run around.

Nice casual run … great feel around the stadium. The love for Bazlenka is real. Girls squealing like it was a Beatles concert.

Re: Training 2021 Season
Hey Everyone.
I also attended training yesterday with my two boys (19 and 14) and my mum (in her mid 70's). It was an amazing day in terms of weather - I parked on the western side of the ground (over the river) and we walked over Mantagarup bridge together...it was pretty windy out and I am expecting similar today. I wanted to walk over the bridge to try and recreate the walk from the city to the 'G I took with my son (the now 19 yo) and daughter (now 23) the day before the GF in 2016.
I wasn't interested in watching Melbourne train - though I was interested to see all the Melbourne supporters practising leaving the stadium early whilst the Dogs fans (and players) were motivated to stay to the end.
I know the MCG is an amazing stadium and I have a lot of great memories of watching the 'Dogs play from our old seats on the wing (level 1) at Docklands but Optus really is a pretty great place to watch footy. I sat in the same seats yesterday as I will today and what can I tell you, the venue is not as good as the WA premier keeps insisting but it is very good.
To all of you stuck in Melbourne I really hope things get better for you soon. It really hit me yesterday just how many people are being denied this opportunity - not that I'm not happy to be able to attend without the added extras of plane tix and accomodation and all the stuff that goes with that...just that I remember the scenes from the Whitten oval on 'the day after' and yesterday was just not like that. I mean, I am sure there were Dogs (and maybe even Melbourne fans?? Do they actually exist??) there but I saw more West Coast jumpers coupled with Bulldogs/Demons scarves than I did white robodog jumpers (aka the worst jumper in the world!) which always seem to get a run in Melbourne. I watched the full squad training and watched Bailey Smith and Caleb Daniel not even join in with the 'pre-session' jog (what's with that btw) and I swear no-one at the ground even knew the short bloke next to 'baz' was Caleb...I mean, he wears a helmet right?
I don't know. I'm literally crapping myself about the result of this game, I wish all my Melbourne "Dogs mates" who adopted me whilst I was in town for a few years and gave me a crew to watch the footy with could be there (they 100% deserve it at least as much as I do) and somehow it isn't going to feel quite right...
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Hey MJP, does the wind get into the ground at all, or is it sheltered?
PS: I still owe you a beer after you shouted one. Hopefully next GF.
Go Dogs!! and have a great day.
