Great to be back at the footy and with a solid win with the game under control for much of the match. Woofers were unanimous in the choice of Bailey Smith (104 possible 104) as BOG. The ver consistent Jack Macrae (67) took second from the vastly improved Bailey Williams (40) who looked very assured. The final vote was shared by Josh Dunkley and Caleb Daniel (each 11). Others to poll were Stef Martin (8), Taylor Duryea (8), Laitham Vandermeer (5), Pat Lipinski (3) with English, Bruce and Gardner each recording a single vote.

    James

Again a unanimous choice of Bailey Smith (52 of possible 52) from Vandermeer (24) with Aaron Naughton (2) the other pup to recording any votes.

A tremendous game for our first home match and with an enthusiastic crowd. Strong endorsement of our match winner Marcus Bontempelli (115 possible 116) as BOG. In any other game the performance of Jack Macrae (83) would surely have got the top accolade, but he is just runner-up. Another great effort from Bailey Williams (35) for our third position ahead of Josh Dunkley (26). Others to poll were led by 150 game milestone man Tom Liberatore (13) followed by Aaron Naughton (6), Josh Bruce (4), Stef Martin (3), Laitham Vandermeer (3) and Adam Treloar (2) with his first WOOF votes.

    James
A strong performance for Aaron Naughton (45 of possible 52) from Vandermeer (27) with Bailey Smith (6) the other pup to record any votes.

    6 – Jack Macrae

Round 3 - Western Bulldogs win over North Melbourne

    Marmo

    4 – Josh Bruce

    2 – Josh Dunkley
    1 – Tom Liberatore

    James

    2 – Aaron Naughton
    1 – Bailey Smith

    Marmo

A great win with a welcome hunger to put an inferior opposition to the sword and a fantastic atmosphere at the ground.
The top votegetter was largely responsible for that atmosphere as the cheer squad got right behind our (almost) unanimous choice Josh Bruce (131 possible 132) as BOG. Adam Treloar (76) gets on the Marmo Board for the first time ahead of Josh Dunkley (52) and the extractor Tom Liberatore (37).
There was also great depth in the voting with a total of 12 players recognised by WOOFers. Those outside the top 4 were headed by Tim English (14), Jack Macrae (6), Aaron Naughton (3), triple Baileys – Williams (3), Smith (2), Dale (2), with defenders Taylor Duryea (2) and Alex Keath (1) also recognised. A very healthy sign for the club to have that many players considered worthy of mention without any votes for the captain or the reigning Sutton medallist.

    James
A strong performance for Aaron Naughton (42 of possible 46) from Bailey Smith (26) and Pat Lipinski with a single vote.

    Marmo – Leaderboard

    6 – Jack Macrae
4 – Bailey Smith, Bailey Williams, Marcus Bontempelli, Josh Bruce
    3.5 – Josh Dunkley

    James Leaderboard

    4 - Aaron Naughton
    3 - Bailey Smith

A good win where we were challenged but got the job done. Our midfield led the way with the ever consistent Jackson Macrae (115 possible 120) on top from our extractor Tom Liberatore (79). Adam Treloar (43) with his dash took 3rd position from Josh Dunkley (26). Dunkley’s injury is a severe blow, but we can showcase the depth of talent available. The other votegetters were headed by Bont (15), Naughton (9), Bailey Dale (7) and Alex Keath (6) as the only other player to receive votes. We actually had a low number of votegetters, which probably reflects the struggle our players had throughout the game.

    James

Again unanimous approval of Aaron Naughton (54 of possible 54) as the best pup from Bailey Smith (16) and Lachie (McSteal) McNeil (11) as the other to score.

    14 – Jack Macrae
    8 - Marcus Bontempelli

A disappointing result and Woofers really struggled to award votes. Top votes to our most improved player in Bailey Dale (63 possible 84) from Tom Liberatore (57) and Aaron Naughton (40). Caleb Daniel (27) got a bit of the ball for the minor vote ahead of Macrae (16), Bontempelli (5), with Hunter and Keath recording a single vote each.

    James

While it was difficult to award James votes, the unanimous choice was again Aaron Naughton (28 of possible 28) as the best pup from Lipinski (8) and Bailey Smith (6)
