Preach Comrade totally agree. He’s from Whitefriars out Mitcham way and I’m mates with a few alumni. He is exactly what we need!

Saints are a completely different team when playing both Ryder and Marshall.

True, but Suns really served it up to them

They did. I'm not sure if they lost it or the saints won it, but the Suns kicked a few in a row in the 3rd and looked to run away with it.

Either way I'm told it was a very ordinary match in perfect conditions.

I watched the majority. Very avge game, and yes, saints are a completely different team with Ryder/Marshall. I expect both to be at their peak in a few weeks time, delivering what they did twice last year.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Just watching Sidebottom get chaired off. Got me wondering. I don't watch alot of World sports, do any other sports chair off players in milestone games?
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Ben Brown is less detestable in a Melbourne jumper.

Melbourne are barely going and are still leading. Best team in it for mine.

Pickett's constant flopping is shocking to watch. Glad to see the umpire not falling for it then.

Melbourne's supporters are complete douchebags though. That in the back free against Lever was clearly there but they still booed it vehemently.

As an aside, the Furphy Beer commercials remind me of the first five minutes of Baz Luhrmann's Australia........the only five minutes of Baz Lurhrmann's Australia that I could watch.

It weirds me out thinking who that sort of shit appeals to.

Dees are so hard to score against, pressuring high up the field and making every entry dirty as to a flock of defenders just sitting deep.
