Yeah I had no idea what the HTB against Bont was, there was no prior and then he was tackled around the ankles.

We need our other mids besides Bont to step up.

True. McNeil hits both of those easy targets and we should be a couple in front.

Yes two Golden opportunities to hit the score board and he missed easy hit ups. The up side he hadn’t been to bad. I recon we are in this right up to our eye balls. I’m still confident we will run over them
BB.
Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

Libba has been massive, when he goes a little quiet we look poor around the contest.
Really poor first half of that quarter but at least we responded and head into HT in front. We couldn't stop the rot v Richmond and in previous years so that was better to see.

Yes and no.
Injury concern of course, but he's been really good this year.
Port were always going to respond, so going into the half like this is not so bad.
Do we come out after the half awake?

Re: WB Game Day V Port Adelaide R9 2021
I know the second quarter wasn't great. But it's not like Port are mugs, and previous iterations of Bulldogs teams in 17,18,19 and even 20, might've completely folded on the back of the momentum change. We stuck to our guns and did well to fought back to regain the lead.
Important to see Bont slot a critical goal from a spot that historically he's missed a fair bit from.
Loving Williams' inclusion (when are teams going to start picking his baulk?)
I'm struggling to see how Hannan adds anything right now. He need a big second half.

Two players that need a big second half are Hannan and Lipinski.
To this point there's almost little chance they play next week, such is their form since coming into the side and their first half.

Re: WB Game Day V Port Adelaide R9 2021
I have watched a lot of football and the umpiring in this game has been very poor. Obvious free kicks missed and very iffy free kicks paid.
We obviously need to get back on top in the centre again and deliver more cleanly into the forward line.

Re: WB Game Day V Port Adelaide R9 2021
Against Richmond they came out after half time and kicked 3 in 3 mins. If that happens, it’s game over. We need to reset. We need to get on top in the centre clearance, and we CANNOT miss an set shots from 30-40 metres. They aren’t going to miss. We can’t either. Naughton needs to get a little more involved. JJ, Lippa and Hannan need to get more involved.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Agree on both. He is just irreplaceable. I really hope our recruiting team has in a folder somewhere a list of Libba's attributes, and are giving that to every scout out there... His clearance work is THE lynchpin to us dominating stoppages.

I thought we started with a plan to move the ball around by foot with patience in the back half and at worst break even if it was a forced long kick forward.
Then we were owning the stoppages.
Seemed to go away from that when the intensity lifted and went panic inside kicks and coughed it up.
Hope we come out after the half and go back to that style of game, it was a pleasure to watch.

Agree. Has Hannan had a touch? Surely Wallis is a better option. Lippa has hardly been sighted. For a player who has shown potential he really has been disappointing

Re: WB Game Day V Port Adelaide R9 2021
Bailey Williams is playing at an All Australian level, his composure is next level he makes us a much better side.
This is the perfect scenario to see where we are at massive second half to come.
