Banker and Anchors: Rnd 7, 2021, vs Richmond Tigers
This is the round 7, 2021 edition of the weekly Bankers and Anchors thread. Once the game against Richmond is concluded post your nominations for:
The Bankers = 3 guys/aspects of the game that we banked on to do the right thing during the game
The Anchors = 3 guys/aspects of the game that weighed us down by their errors or poor play
Please limit it to no more than three of each player or aspect of the game, but feel free to make honourable/dishonourable mentions. As usual try to make it constructive criticism.
Try and restrict it to individual players rather than aspects of the overall match - I will allow more freedom now as the thread seems to be going down more of the aspects of the game path so you can have 3 for each made up of aspects of the game and individual players.
The thread is named in honour of a popular WOOF Contributor, The Banker, who passed away on 22/04/2012 after a six month battle with cancer.

To be fair the ball just kept coming and coming and coming. We just applied zero defensive pressure in the midfield. Zero.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Bingo.
Our mids lost their appetite to run the other way nearing the end of the 2nd and in light of the consequences we're both asking Keath to do too much while asking Cordy to do much at all.
Our significant outs don't excuse this on the back of a week where the entire footballing world were lauding our 'depth'.
PS; I love Zaine to pieces but welcome to your post football life.

Bankers
1. Dale is really maturing and even taking on players and creating chances further upfield. His kicking is a sight to see.
2. The goal that went from one end to the other in three kicks
3. Lachie Hunters bullet pass that just skimmed the grass to hit Naughton on the chest low down
Anchors
1. Biggest issue was losing the centre clearances in the third quarter after Libba dominated the centre.
2. Our smalls in the forward line are just not the right players.
3. Letting Bachar Houli dominate from the backline - we should have tagged him.

Bankers
1. Libba- clearance machine. Had no help and was buggered in the end.
2. Dale - played as good as I've ever seen him play and he played some rippers up forward a couple years ago
3. Naughton. The only one who looked like kicking a goal for us.
Anchors
1. Our mids in the second half. The response to their lift in pressure
2. Schache. I so much wanted him to play good and kick goals and take marks. I think he might be Daniel Bandy 2.0. Good at VFL level and no good at AFL. He's just moved off the ball too easy for a 200cm man.
3. Bont's miss. He kicks that goal we go into half time with a nice lead and our tails up after they took control in the last half of the 2nd qtr
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!
