Re: AFL Game Day R12 2021
Melbourne are almost definitely the best team and definitely better than us. For now, sure, but they are until they show they aren't which will hopefully be around round 20 (I'm not looking it up).

Max Gawn is a big problem.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Their form was a little misleading as they hadn't left Qld since rd 6.
I don't think it's a one horse race. No Oliver in the first half and they looked pretty average. Bit of a clue there.
Yeah i dunno, they are clearly a step ahead for mine.
Keen for our rematch though and to see if we learnt anything.

No injuries, and the easiest upcoming draw (unless COVID completely destroys it)

It'd be difficult being Brett Ratten at the moment, the Saints would be frustrating to coach this year. That Seb Ross miss to finish off the quarter was typical of them.

The look on Ratten's face. How do you miss from there?

Re: AFL Game Day R12 2021
They’re in this the Saints. They were in pretty much an identical position in our game as they were in the first quarter here and fully gave up, so I guess that’s something for them.

Not a big fan of the Saints jersey. They look like painters you'd see wandering around Bunnings.

Wow what a loss by Saints. Higgins had 2 shots in dying minutes to put them in front and just rushed his set shots

St Kilda still owe a second rounder this year to Richmond for Higgins trade.
Higgins was just doing his part for Richmond to get a better pick. YELLOW AND BLACK. He’s helping, Tiger, Land.

Higgins the least of their problems. They have a non-competitive key forward who has zero 2nd efforts and also flops like a dead fish - doing the no 12 jumper proud at Moorabbin on that score at least.
I see Ratts did the old injured routine at the presser taking about King. Smart ploy to stop the discussion around his extended dreadful form. Worth noting he's only a few months younger than Naughts - even his brother is doing far more damage on the scoreboard and also with repeat efforts.

You wouldn’t know it from the commentary and coverage of the Saints though. Does Fox have a financial interest in him or something?

I can’t take Ratten seriously this season. Horror year and no one seems to be really responsible except for a few fringe player omissions occasionally. I remember thinking he was actually a good coach and player motivator before he was knifed at Carlton. I’m not as certain as I used to be. That the give more than half a shit and still lose isn’t a silver lining.

The King brothers are on equal footing with the Coventry brothers according to all the media fanbois. At least Ben kicks a few and has some token half-hearted 2nd efforts.
