The stats, if that was all you were able to look at, you'd think the Dogs were in front.
It shows how much our ball turnover has cruelled us tonight. We've been really good this year in not conceding scores from turnovers. We must address this in the second half.

To me the turnovers were not from pressure, but rather skill errors when trying to switch play. Really frustrating.

Lipinski, for all his silk, is just horrible without the ball. We can’t carry that when we’re down Dunkley and Treloar.

Smith fumbled early, but also when in defense just tuned out, Bont too in the goal McDonald got when hit up on the lead by Petracca.
We've got to fire up in the 3rd, and kick the first couple. Absolutely cannot let Melbourne get on the scoreboard first.

I don't think Melbourne have been awesome, we've been poor. We're only 3 goals down for how crap we've been.
Spot on. We will win this. Its a game of inches and we haven't had to do this at all this year so this is a test that will hold us in good stead come Sept if we can overcome it.

I think it's probably a bit of both.

So we got punched in the mouth. If that’s their best shot and they’re 19 points up with all of those kicks we hit straight to them then this is live. They’ve played a great game and look the real deal, but we’re picking up the speed. Hopefully we can do something with it.

We came back against West Coast and Carlton when they were seemingly on top.

Melbourne have only lost one game and it will be harder, but I am confident we can do it.

We are still in this game but we must GO HARD from the off. We have played so badly and they have hardly made an error. Let's go Dogs!

In terms of wing options, someone like a Roarke Smith fits into our system better as he does the unfashionable things competently. In the first qtr he was down back assisting his defenders and killing an aerial contest, he also sticks his tackles and he can hit a target inside 50. Lippa can only do 1 of those 3 things consistently.

To their credit they made us pay every time. Probably something we aren't use to
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!
