Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 11 Vs Melbourne 2021
If English isn’t passed fit, I’d consider playing Lewis Young as second ruck and 3rd tall.
We need to play Naughton and Bruce forward all game.
Petty will likely go to Bruce which I’m sure we can exploit, as May and Lever will be too occupied with Naughton.
Assuming Lever goes to Weightman, we need to be confident to use Weightman as he is strong overhead and smart once the ball hits the ground and as above Lever will have one and half eyes on Naughton.
Assuming Salem is back in, who goes to him?
More of an In Bruges guy?

I wouldn’t mind seeing JJ on Salem and then use his pace running back to exploit Salem’s defensive efforts. I also think Roarke will get a tagging job on Langdon
I will never see #16 the same!!

Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 11 Vs Melbourne 2021
In: English, Garcia
Out: Young, Treloar
If Scott is out it's between West and Lipinski and I'm not convinced either has really earned a spot for the moment. Maybe Butler.

I’m no expert but I think you have to drop one more?

Really need English in
I would suggest Sweet is our best at the hitouts and think he has gone passed Martin

Tend to agree, Young performed pretty well and could be a decent 2nd ruck option

Yep you're right. Forgot the sub. So I revise by saying English for Young who had already replaced Treloar. Garcia comes in if Scott is out.

Gee that's a big call. I'm in with Martin as much as I have been impressed by Sweet. I like Martin's experience and smarts against the best. I guess we will learn more about Sweet this week v Gawn.

Martin is way ahead of Sweet. Sweet still learning and has a long, long, long way to go

If Scott plays he will go to Salem. He usually takes the running defender and has done some great jobs. Rich, Byrne Jones and Saad come to mind.

Yep … this is my thinking as well. I want to see what Garcia can do on the big stage, and it doesn’t get much bigger than this.

Do we bring back Gardner? Too harsh to drop Cordy? I have been 'relatively' impressed by Zaine.

Gardner should be in the mix, he can play on mid sized players

I'd be replacing Cordy with Gardner as soon as we felt Gardner was ready.

Martin was uncompetitive against Richmond and Sweet is improving every game. Their average stats for the season are very comparable and Sweet is showing duarability.
