Re: How Many More Wins Left In The H&A?

Round 23 Melbourne v Geelong could be repeated first week of finals. Ditto with us v Port. Interesting. Do you let the opposition see all you tricks in round 23?

Perhaps. Put the fear of god into them for the following match.

Will there be a bye? We may rest a player or two if so.

I'm just happy we may well win our first minor premiership, ever

If there is ever a premiership ripe for the picking its this year. Geelong all of of sudden look vulnerable, Melbourne have had a real lull in form, Port have scraped through all year, Sydney are threatening but are very young. If we play our best in September we win it. Us at our best is better than the rest at their best I believe. We just have to show up in the finals.

Re: How Many More Wins Left In The H&A?

Geelong pretty much out of top 1
Port into 4th a reward for top spot
    Sydney into 5-8 section
Essendon now 12th, 2 wins out of the 8
Viney suspended, McDonald uncertain, WCE bringing in better players

Everything our way so far. Now just beat Essendon to make it all count.

Can't finish below 4th now, no-one outside of 2nd-4th can pass 15 wins and our percentage
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

As it stands us and Geelong are on 60 points and they still have 2 at home. They are a long way from being locked out of first spot. We haven't even beaten Essendon yet.

If we win two games to match those possible wins. Our percentage still puts us above them. I’m prepared to say we will win at least 2 of our 3 games.

Would we prefer our first final at an empty MCG/Marvel (likely MCG) or a packed neutral venue like Perth?

    Agree

Everything suggests we should be at the same squad as rounds 1-5 this year - Martin the only question mark for me on fitness.

Re: How Many More Wins Left In The H&A?

Finals in NSW are out of the question, finals in Victoria are far from certain, Qld is similarly doubtful, Tas freaks out over 1 case and why would you go there anyway, so it leaves Sa and WA imo. I am biased but get all finals teams to Perth after R23, quarantine for a week then play all finals at Optus. Guaranteed 50k+ per game and sell out GF.

Based off what we know right now even if Vic gets this under control in 2 weeks we will then have 2 weeks without crowds. You can put a line through crowds in Vic for the first week of finals at least.

I personally think if we can’t have meaningful crowds then our group would play better in front of a full house.
