    The Opportunity Of A Lifetime...

Since 1925, this club has got to Round 16 or later in the season on top of the ladder just twice. We did it in 1 x Round in 1992 and across 4 x Rounds in 1998. Never a minor premier.

‘If’ we beat North tomorrow, this will be just the third side in nearly a century of our club, to sit a top the ladder in the late stages of a Home & Away Season.

There’s going to be a fair few posters on here that have never seen it happen, should it happen.

I’ve never seen a season like this where I feel like we’ve got everyone covered. There’s luck of course, but I’m saying our 100 percent v their 100 percent.

    I like what I’m seeing.

I would love us to finish top of the ladder, and as the OP says we have never done it before.

    There’s a trophy for top isn’t there?

    The McLellan Trophy.

Used to be awarded for combined Seniors/Reserves/Under 19s premiership points.

I am pretty sure that we beat every other club at least once in 1985.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I'm most concerned about Melbourne but I agree that with just a bit of luck we have the list to beat all clubs.

This is what we will need. We need a healthy list to go all the way. The healthiest club in the top 4 probably wins it.

Amazingly I was just talking to a mate about 85! Was in the (east coast) cheer squad had the dyed hair that day at Waverley in 85. (The semi v norf was a highlight).

We dug this up. I was 9, so didn’t really know if we were that good.....
