Re: AFL Game Day R17 2021
North have been solid mid table on form the last 4-6 weeks and West Coast have been putrid the last 2 weeks. On actual form tonight was no surprise.

That was great to watch. North very impressive. West Coast are pathetic. They are in a real awkward spot where they don't have a lot of youth coming through (aside from Allen) and have a bunch of old blokes at the cliff edge.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Has Simpson lost the players ? I did not watch the game, but he does sound beyond infuriated with the playing group, over the last couple of weeks post game conference.
Maybe Collingwood should have a talk with him ? It could be total irony if it happens.

Forgot there was a match on Monday.
Dismal result for the Eagles, and now below Freo on the ladder.
So North's form against us last week was a not a flash in the pan?
Maybe McGovern should leave the sinking ship?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

He's a big part of their problems. He's either stunk it up or been injured most of the year and taking up $1m a year in salary cap space.
Interesting that they have collectively phoned it in the last 3 weeks when they dropped their kids to make room for the returning stars from injury. Prior to that they had terrific wins against Carlton and Richmond with a decimated team.

Wow. Anything could happen this season. Who knows who’ll win it.

Any of their promising kids worth looking at who cannot get a game?

Yes, it's wonderful to see!

Tarryn Thomas has taken a few seasons for it to click but gee he is a fun player to watch.

He's such a great size, ultra clean with the ball and uses it well. Some Bont similarities.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

He did some nice things against us the previous week, but that piece of play on the wing against McGovern (from memory) in the last quarter was so clever and clean even after he was tripped (which no free kick paid) still managed to execute really well.

I haven’t seen a replay to confirm but live that looked really dirty. McGovern should get a week for it if it’s as bad as I thought it looked.

McGovern should be dropped anyway. In absolute garbage form and Simpson needs to drop the hammer on a senior player to spark them up.
