    The ultimate path for me:

    Beat Essendon in the EF.
    Beat Melbourne in the Semi.
    Beat Geelong in the Prelim.
    Beat Port in the GF.
The above requires Port to lose at home next week. If seedings go to plan, quite conceivably we would need to beat Brisbane at the Gabba and Port at AO just to make the GF, and that's after beating Essendon or Freo first.

Yeah, that’s the more likely path but here’s hoping.

I don’t overly rate Port but Geelong without Stewart is a much lesser team so Port probably do get through. Port have had a massive leg up on the other top 8 sides, with little Covid interruption and their reserves team playing every week.

If we are good enough, we should win anywhere beating anyone.

We will beat Essendon and it might give us some much needed confidence. Would hate to lose a QF and go into a SF having lost 4 in a row.
    Agree entirely.

We have beaten Melbourne and Port. It took a kick after the siren for Geelong to get over us. We kicked ourselves to defeat against Essendon and were bested by Sydney. There is no reason why we cannot progress. We have the players and the scenario to "shake up the world" has been laid out for us.

It would be nice for Fremantle to get a wriggle on and at least put the fear of missing in Essendon. We want them to play panicked, error riddled, taxing footy.

If Fremantle go down it takes the pressure right off. Hell, they can even limit time for the sore bodies, give others extra exposure etc. and play a completely bruise free game.

I think we beat them anyway, but I want a statement. I want 21 unanswered goals to wipe the smug look off their faces.

The worst result today is Freo losing so Essendon can make late changes and rest some players.

Which is of course exactly what will happen.

I said as much above and my only hope now is that they get too carried away and much with their team/form too much. Hopefully they try to play bruise free and get absolutely pummelled, shaking loose their recent demons from hiding.

Kieran Strachan from the Crows is going alright. Gets involved around the ground, not highly skilled but doesn't look terrible.

Bendigo boy who is going to be stuck behind Reilly O'Brien at the Crows forever. Could be one worth having a crack at.

But how would he feel being stuck behind Hannan?
