I’d rather get COVID then pay attention.
But thanks for all your threads again this year Eastie. You make the place work well. Have you thought about taking professional football for the actual football team. Your vaccinated so that counts in your favour too.

Re: 2021 AFL Finals Series
So our last three finals opponents have been the giants, saints and bombers. I can’t think of a worse trio. I don’t think I can possibly mentally prepare myself if the bombers complete the clean sweep. We really must have sacrificed our soul to the footy gods in 2016.

Pretty sure we didn't - Bont did re-sign afterall.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Re: 2021 AFL Finals Series
Finalists told to prepare for five weeks away, as AFL’s stay in Tassie may get longer
The four clubs playing finals in Tasmania this weekend have been told to prepare for as many as five weeks on the road.
The winners of the Essendon v Western Bulldogs and GWS v Sydney elimination finals will not return to Victoria or NSW after the game.
Instead, they will either stay in Tasmania or fly to Queensland or South Australia, depending on the results of the qualifying finals.
If Geelong and Melbourne win their matches, they are a good chance to fly straight to Perth to prepare for their respective preliminary finals.
Victorian-based players have also been ordered to avoid supermarkets and cafes from Monday onwards.
The instruction for anyone travelling to South Australia or Tasmania this weekend is to only leave home for two reasons: training at the club or in the event of a medical emergency.
For the four teams playing in Tasmania, their families are permitted to go to work and live as all others are permitted by Victoria’s Covid-19 restrictions.
Clubs have also been informed families will not be allowed to travel with them due to strict health regulations.
It’s understood the league is working hard to have partners and families join clubs for the back end of finals, but nothing is locked in.
The Dogs are set to fly to Tasmania on Thursday after training ahead of Saturday’s game.
The AFL has left the door ajar for at least one semi-final to be played in Launceston next weekend.
The league is working through whether the Demons and Cats would return to Victoria after their games, or stay outside of the state. Both clubs will pack for five weeks on the road.

Re: 2021 AFL Finals Series
So sounds like Port and Bris will still get home finals if they “earn” it, but the Vic/Sydney teams won’t.

Yeah, thought as much. No chance the AFL tries to appear fair and balanced. They’d love an interstate team winning this year, especially Brisbane.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Sounds like it.
The only advantage Melbourne got finishing first was choose your neutral venue.

If they win through to the prelim this week will it be at the Gabba?

Given there is a bye between prelim and GF, I would say yes.

Sounds like if either of those sides win, they’ll get home finals.
