The captain should be kicking those. He’s too good of a player to miss the set shots he misses, captains goals are important for a reason. I can forgive the BS overturn though.

    Bankers

    3. Daniel-so composed, so clean with his possessions, so reliable with his decision-making, and absolutely critical in setting our play out from the back

    2. Smith-3 goals from a 20 year old midfielder in finals pressure, one when the game was up for grabs.

    1. Duryea- after quarter time put the most dangerous forward on the ground out of business, especially at the end there.

    Anchors:

    1. Treloar
    2. Bonts finishing
    3. Bonts injury.

Sometimes I wonder if the captains arm band is a hindrance.

    Banks
Macrae - full on effort fron go to whoa.
The defence - absorbed enormous pressure

Bailey Smith - top effort. Match winner

    Anks

I would like to nominate a lot more players!

He just won the AFL MVP by 700 votes, is one of the brownlow favourites and has had his biggest season for most statistical categories, including goals, so I think he is wearing it well.

Re: Bankers & Anchors: Semi Final, 2021 vs Brisbane

    Bankers:

    Macrae - 11 clearances, 11 i50s, 9 score involvements....just relentless work.

Hunter - just seemed pretty key to getting things back on track late in the third and early last quarter. Got to where he needed to be, went at 85% efficiency with zero clangers (our only player other than Lewis Young to not have a clanger, Lewy only touched it 4 times though)and made smart choices.

The backline - I was going to single out Keath for shutting down Daniher...then thought maybe Doc for the job on Cameron after half time, then Woody for making a challenging start a better day, Daniel had 30+, Bailey Dale a good rebounder.....etc etc. They did an amazing job defending 68 i50s.

    Anchors:

Treloar - the positive is there's enormous upside this week. IF he isn't getting footy, we probably needed to get him inside to get him involved, but regardless of that - when he can't find the footy he needs to find ways to contribute.
Young - to big an ask to ruck v McInerney.
Roarke - I'm a big fan, but thought he struggled with the pace of the game.

The external anchors are the Brisbane supporter base (both at game and online). Perhaps they need to face up to the reality that its their team, and not the umpires, letting them down in finals.

He has serious mental probs it seems. Maybe like C.Grant had.
Great on the run but falls to pieces with deliberation.
Scared of the praise? Wary of being hailed above his confort zone?
What is going on with Treloar?
I saw him drop his head.

    Bankers

Keath - is not far behind the AA KPDs. Outstanding secodnhalf of the year and destroyed Daniher who kicked a goal in every H&A game this season.
Duryea - just our best/only shutdown defender.
Macrae - gut-runner extraordinaire. You just knew he'd be running until the final siren

    Anchors:
Treloar's worst game for the club. He will get more invovled this weeks
Rucks (first three quarters) - we got on top at the end but were belted early
Costly misses for goal - Keath, Bont, et al

Hemsworth, clearly voting for Baz as a banker.
