    Nicholls?

Yes. How tall you are has very little to do with how good a footballer you are. Big Nick would find a way to dominate opponents exactly the way he dominated them in the '60s and '70s.

Only problem is that they have changed the rules to eliminate the craft that Nicholls relied on.

He would be penalised in every ruck contest because he would need to get between his opponent and the ball to compensate for the lack of reach/height. That is now adjudicated as blocking.

Rules now favour athletes over footballers.

Anyone want to have a guess at who any of the players are?

Apart from EJ obviously. I want to say that it's Alan Stoneham at the front but if it's 1970 Stoneham would have only been 12 years old or so.

The side bangers were obviously in fashion that year.

The guy next to the guy over EJ's right shoulder in the sleeveless top could be Free Cook.

Most people wouldn't have gotten away with walking the streets at 5am hanging on a drum. Luckily EJ wasn't most people!
