That would be nice. We did have our chance to do that.

We’re playing Melbourne round 1, Wednesday night.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Thursday night footy works because many people have RDO's on a Friday and would only have to gut it out for one day. I'm not sure people will be as accepting of Wednesday night footy.

It's a strange schedule for an important game.

I'm going as a guest of my Melbourne mates.

I'll be in the red legs. Might have to kit out with the full dogs gear. Haha

Do the AFL even care about us fans anymore?

Couldn’t think of a worse time to go to a footy game.

Agreed, they're putting the TV income over the supporter experience.

Ive met both Ameet and Kylie and my feel is they are more business driven. So this maybe could be a new rivalry, it’s the opening round game what’s not to like ?

    we are I’m good hands.

For me emotionally no way… thank god I’m not in charge.

Our leadership of the club have done a sensational job, my swipe is at the AFL for scheduling such an important game in the middle of the week.

    Yeah, we did:

Ps We were talking about whether we unfurled the flag against Sydney, not whether we played them in round 1.

Can't believe we've given up our Friday night opener against the Pies which is great exposure for us.

Just so Melbourne can rub more salt into our wound and on the worst possible time slot for football fans.

    Just madness all round.
    The curse is dead.
