Yep, only cracked it for a single senior appearance this year but was extended to 2022. However, knowing that is sheer luck on my behalf because everyone's too lazy to consolidate this type of information into something like a sticky thread to make it easier for all of us.

He can do just about anything Mitch Hannan can do and is more aggressive.
You're a wonderful romantic, not just a romantic......

He's nothing like Mitch Hannan though, and won't ever be. A bit like Bruce did in his second year I think Hannan will come back better prepared for what is required athletically of our forwards in our system and be a stronger contributor......well hopefully anyway.

Thanks Jeemak. Hope your are doing well.

I do love my Bulldogs. Have been getting plenty of compliments on the scarf here in Shanghai.

Bruce was awful when he came. The comparison MJP made of him being like a big Labrador looking for a tennis ball was apt.
Up there with Dale as most improved.

I am not really sold on Mitch Hannan. This is an interesting point of difference to see how it plays out during the year.
You reckon Wallis won’t come good, I say he will. This will give us something to look forward to this season.

I think Wally has a fierceness in him that will be useful. I haven’t seen any fierce qualities from Hannan. He has some attributes but is a bit of a nice guy. But will be very happy to be proven wrong. If anything, to stick it to Melbourne. The least deserved Grand Finalists going in a year of a pandemic.

    Made me laugh. Hi Easty.
If I go back through my own posts you will find in 2016 I rightly claimed we would win the big dance.
( Please ignore the fact I probably said that every year )
Am I a footy Luddite, absolutely. But if you are optimistic enough for long enough eventually it will come true.

Mitch Wallis is not going to win the Brownlow.
But predicting he will have a few Lindsay Gillbee in-the-forward line big bags and be a nuisance for a few games for a while yet.
He’s fit enough and hungry enough to just be there when it goes his way.

    Bend it like Bedendo.

    Could Bhuku effectively replace Wood?

He’s been in the system a few years, should have the tank and strength now to play - is he ready? Hard to tell after the last two years but he’s an intriguing potential option who could add athleticism, marking and foot skills to our backline.

I think O'Brien is seen as the Wood replacement and Khamis as the back-up. It's a big year ahead for Buku.

He was also awesome in the preseason game he played last year. I remember him biting off some aggressive kicks and nailing them (when he had a less advantageous easier kick available). Think it said a lot, I hope this preseason gets him over the line.

My biggest worry with Khamis, and I love him by the way is his reading of the play and positioning.
He certainly is good with ball in hand now.
Its when he doesn't have it, but I think that can be taught.

Spot on. He relies on his athletecism to get him to the contest and against VFL players he is fine. Against AFL players that lack of a natural feel for the game puts him at a disadvantage.

Its something he will have to overcome.

I actually believe that is the thing that sets players apart, because it is so difficult to learn if it is not innate.

I'm really looking for ward to Josh Schache in 2022.
He's become a much better player in the last year.
Having JUH around will lift his chin a bit. Like the photos of him in training. Developing well.

Not sure if he is exactly fringe on paper, but certainly some doubts over him earlier in last year.

Spoiler alert: there is very little to get excited about.
