Ambulance on the ground. Tears everywhere. Mum is on the ground. Screen up to shield her. Quarter has now been going for more than 40 minutes. Don't think I have ever seen a game stopped this long for an injury at the elite level.

Terrible injury. Front on vision clearly see the leg break. Sickening.
Just such a poor attempt at smothering the ball. Surely it should be deemed illegal.

Pretty poor standard game, hard to watch

Low scoring but we will take the win. Strong defence to not allow Port into their 50 during the last quarter.

Gaby Newton looks ready made to take Huntingtons spot.

    Great contested mark.

Freo were pretty poo today and don't look like the same team as they have so we could be staring at a 3-0 start.

Gee what we’ve some promising young talent. Start converting better and we could really do well this year.

Really happy to see Newton fulfil her number 1 pick status.

The team seem so close and Burke looks like he has similar high EQ leadership skills to Bevo. Elle pure class as a player and a person. Still think Pritchard looks very good, as does Wilcox.

Really good start. Two wins on the trot, some solid fundamentals and plenty of improvements to come.

Girls were quite stoic today, showed their true character. Special win under some duress.

And a good chance to beat Freo next week, based on their match with the Cats today.

Josie, great call on Ellie Blackburn.

Words do not do justice to Ellie’s care to Britt when she was injured and then spending the next 20 minutes with her until she left the field.

Then to settle her teammates back into the moment and have a strong win.

    Fierce women indeed.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Their tackling has been supreme. Well done Burkey for instigating this.
