At the season launch it was mentioned he was following health dept protocols without mentioning the word Covid.

Well done to Cody Raak to earn a call up. Good luck to the young fella.

From (limited) training reports it sounds like Raak has been playing forward in match simulation so would think he's in ahead of JUH.

I think it's more Raak learning a bit of forward craft.

Schache looks set to be the choice to pair with Keath and O'Brien in defence and we're desperate for someone to occupy a second opposition KPD in our forward half. Right now I wonder if Cordy is that man and Raak gets his chance to be the next in line after Marra's poor praccy game / covid recovery

    Roof open or closed tonight?

    Open rain.
Closed humidity. Not sure if anyone has been to Marvel with the roof closed on a humid hot day but it's bad.. MMKAY.

Don't think they ever open it if it's going to rain. Yeah it can get pretty sticky in there, keep your fluids (beer) up.

Given that Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has not been included in the named group for tonight, where is he at this stage of his development ?

It's evident he's not where he (or where we) would like him to be, but it shouldn't also be unexpected. He's 19.

We need to be patient with Marra. As long as he's working hard (by all accounts, he is) then setting realistic expectations and goals will be key to his development.

Recovering from Covid by all accounts.

I'm no athlete but my gym sessions have taken two months to get to what they were at before my bout with covid. I suspect some players may take time to bounce back

Just made a note in the Footscray thread that Duryea and Jones playing VFL tonight
Anyone can support a team that is winning, it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage, so lets always be behind our boys and girls in red, white and blue.

No words describe how much I hate seeing Cordy line up as a forward.

Martin in the forward half is not great.
