Say what you will about our list management, but picking up Duryea has been a masterstroke

    A game of two halves.

First half was our running defenders in Dale, Daniel and Richards in our handful of better players.

Second half the midfielders started winning the ball and our forwards were able to finally take advantage of our forward 50 enteries.

Overall happy to get the win.

Great to see Dunkley and Treloar have good games.
Gardner is a good kick up to the level of our great field kicking.
A lot of football nous out there too.
    It was an athletic feast.

I'm not happy to concede late goals to them but it was an encouraging win.
The spread of good performances was good to see.

Nice solid win, Essendon’s skill levels are ordinary.
Should give the boys confidence going into next week

    What a lovely day.

    How good is Dunkley!

Brilliant effort dogs really enjoyed that.

Love that Mitch Wallis played well so happy.

For those booing Stringer seriously he's a Dog's premiership player!

Yeah, I wouldn't boo stringer not worth my energy.
Also we got rid of him so you don't boo ex players when we kick them out.

Much better in the second half but kinda feel like Essendon gave up. Would hate to barrack for them.

That we kicked Stringer out and they gave him the bag kinda perfectly encapsulates why we’ve been successful and they haven’t.

I was very happy with the 2nd half. The last 5 minutes was a let down but overall they controlled the Bombres and they could barely get the ball past the centre square. Pressure was intense, they were looking over their shoulder every possession, that was terrific. We kicked a very accurate score as well, YES!!! I was thinking the repeat entries over and over but no scoring, we got them on the board though. It was against a team with 1 win on the board though, you can only beat who's in front of you but I'm not getting overly excited yet. Great win against those scumbags!

Luckily we barrack for the mighty Bulldogs.
Big brave Bevo (and players') decision to remove the Stringer culture from our club is great.

Had a few things on so only caught parts of the second half but liked what I saw and glad we walked away with a win.

Re: WB Game Day V Essendon R7 2022

Was not able to watch all the game. I saw a few things I liked and a few I didn't. We won against a desperate team who performed pretty well in their last outing against the Pies.

I liked the defenders particularly Richards, Daniel and Dale. Williams was much better this game and Gardner and Tim O'Brien chipped in.

I didn't like our delivery into the forward line at all. Just bombing it in again and again. And when there was a leading forward we over kicked it and gave the defender as easy spoil. I liked that we kicked straight for once. I saw a few occasions where players were reluctant to snap for goal but hand passed instead - for no result or even a turnover. Our forward pressure was really good with Weightman outstanding in this part of the game. McNeil had his best game and goaled from being awarded a free kick for an excellent tackle. Naughton was well held. His normally vice like hands let him down a couple of times but he never stopped trying and gifted a goal to Weightman.

I thought Dunkley was terrific. He tackled superbly. His set shot for goal in the last was very ordinary. He needs a goal kicking coach.
Bont showed a welcome return to form and used his explosive power to good effect.

Overall, I was happy with the win and thre spread of contributors.

I liked the way the midfield performed especially as we were well beaten in the ruck. Treloar was terrific and covered a lot of ground. Libba was under every pack. He is very competitive. He applied a lot of pressure when they had the ball

I thought our effort was really good. We need to keep the momentum flowing
