DeGoey is an idiot in general, and though he acted like a boofhead in Bali, he's hardly the first Australian to act like a boofhead in Bali.

I'd say he's too vague to be wrong. Is the scrutiny around athletes and their private lives silly? Yeah. Is scrutiny around him silly? Doesn't sound like it (TBH I don't keep track of his exploits, I know he did something bad in NY and he was in court on domestic abuse charges but didn't face jail time IIRC)

I agree, if anything the Media has put a positive spin on his challenges.
