I saw that Jamarra liked DeGoey's post on IG where he thanked his ''team'' and addressed the persecution of athletes by the media and assumed that this was what you're talking about... but it wasn't and now we are none the wiser.

It's obviously not a secret if you saw it on the news so I don't get why you'd try to hide it.
That said I can't find the bloody clip and I already hate most footy media so I can't in good conscious look further into it.

I think I saw it on Footy Classified and yes Jamarra was one of the AFL players who clicked the like option.

DeGoey is an idiot in general, and though he acted like a boofhead in Bali, he's hardly the first Australian to act like a boofhead in Bali.
In relation to the above post the question I ask is: is he wrong?

I'd say he's too vague to be wrong. Is the scrutiny around athletes and their private lives silly? Yeah. Is scrutiny around him silly? Doesn't sound like it (TBH I don't keep track of his exploits, I know he did something bad in NY and he was in court on domestic abuse charges but didn't face jail time IIRC)

Mitch Wallis could be sticking up for Tom Boyd or Lachie Hunter by liking that
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

What media persecution has Bailey Smith received? The air went out of the story as soon as he admitted fault.

I agree, if anything the Media has put a positive spin on his challenges.
